Volcan winery and Wine Museum located in Vothonas on the road to Kamari Beach in Santorini. Family business founded by brothers Greg & Dimitri Koutsogiannopoulos 1870.
Today, four generations later, it continues to operate under the care and supervision of the current owner, George Koutsogiannopoulos.
Modern stainless steel machines replaced naturally utensils and tools. The vinification of the wines made in the traditional style and modern operational infrastructure building housing the plant and the impressive cave make the Wine Museum unique.
The unique cave Wine Museum 8 meters below the earth and a total length of 300 meters shaped labyrinth presents the history of wine and the life of the Santorini vineyard from 1660 to 1970. With representations from mobile and fixed models, auto personal tour in nine languages, the visitor navigates through the history of wine.
